Dog Sledding with Arson and Flame

I was seriously wondering where the helicopter pad was for the helicopter to land.  Seriously we are just going to land on the snow?????  Yep!

Okay.  I had survived my first helicopter ride.  Now on to dog sledding!  We were divided up into groups.  Jessica and I went with two ladies, and Dave, Joe, and Ben went together.

Jessica and I met our guide and our dogs--two of which were Arson and Flame.  We were given time to say hello to our dogs.  All of the other dogs (who weren't going on a ride) were barking like crazy because they wanted to go.  I got a video of it, but I can't post videos on here.

There were 4 of us and we would each get a turn to be the "musher" on the back.  No one was too anxious to be first, so I volunteered.

It was actually quite cool.  We stopped 3 times and switched positions and took photos.  The dogs didn't much like stopping.

After our ride, we got to pet the puppies. One of the names was Buggs Bunny.  The kids loved that.

Then it was back to the helicopter for a quick ride back as the next group was waiting.

This was an incredible adventure!
