I Feel Like Eve In the Garden of Eden -- Temptation is Everywhere

We arrived at the Pier and we were able to bypass all the lines because we had pre-purchased our "Faster to the Fun" passes.  We sailed through all the lines and made our way to our rooms.  Adjoining balcony rooms on Deck 7.

We dropped our bags off and headed to lunch.  There was Chinese, Italian, and pizza.  Then nestled in a corner was a small salad bar.  Hallelujah!  I got myself a salad and headed back to my table.  Immediately a server came by with a tray full of drinks.  He offered us a drink.  I asked, "what is it?"  He replied, "it's the drink of the day."  But what is it?  "it's a happy drink."  Well heck, if it's a "happy drink, I need one."   

Apparently that had Bacardi in it!  Phew.  Good thing Dave helped drink that. 

We decided to find the gym after lunch.  The gym was closed.  The only way you could see the gym was to tour the spa.  So Dave and I toured the spa.  This room here is for couples massage.  Wait, what?  This room is for a facial, teeth whitening, acupuncture, seaweed wrap, and on and on,  Oh now here's the gym.

Ian showed us the gym and highly encouraged us to sign up for yoga, and cycling, and nutrition class, and detox class.  I said, "Thanks, but no thanks.  I have a workout from a trainer I am going to follow."  He went on to school me about how it's not just the workout.  It's eating right and detoxing". "Wait a minute.  Did he just indirectly diss my trainer?  Not cool!"  I don't know if Ian and I will be friends.

We leave the gym and run into the 24 hour ice cream bar, the coffee bar, the bar bar, the casino, the dessert bar.  YIKES!  Stay strong, Patty.  You can do this.

My one vice on this trip that I had pre-decided had to do with the "happy drink."  So I'll look for the drink of the day and avoid the temptation!  Cheers!
